The PM has called for a general election then, are we surprised or bothered?

Not completely surprised, as it means that if she wins (highly likely, give state of other parties) she can work from her own mandate rather than Cameron's giving her free reign to put taxes, NI contributions and everything else up that screws the people. And lower the things that benefit the rich and companies.

Timing is a little surprising, as is the fact she has now gone from being anti EU to all out Brexit, and no snap election to election in 8 weeks (or something like that). Doesn't inspire confidence given we in the middle of aforementioned Brexit, got Scotand wanting out, I'd imagine Wales demanding something similar if Scotland got the referendum, then we got the Ireland/Northern Ireland issue at the moment. Yes Labour are all over the shop but the "Out" campaign are seen to be failing on some of their promises and UKIP may see this as their chance. But Maggie knows what she is doing.

David Davis and Boris Johnson both resign on the same day.

This Brexit stuff is going really rather well isn't it.

It is all going rather spiffing. But, being a big sceptic, it wouldn't surprise me if a leadership challenge is thrown down and Boris runs for PM against Theresa then just before they are about to vote BJ pulls out and Theresa therefore wins and amidst all the confusion they end having to settle for a "no deal brexit" thus securing what they wanted in the first place and then blameit on the leadership challenge and May assembles her cabinet with the same old names but  in slightly different roles.
