Mexico, USA and Canada to Host 2026 World Cup

Recommended Posts

Meh.

FIFA to decide at a later stage as to which countries will qualify automatically.

The 3 countries should qualify automatically!

I'm curious about the hours of each match...

All 3 countries qualifying automatically would be ridiculous, yes they should by rights get auto qualification as hosts but given that CONCACAF only get 6 allocated places (plus possibility of 1 more via playoff) then that leaves just 3 places left for 32 nations to battle for, chance of qualifying 10% approx. rather than, if 1 nation selected from a hat, a 15% chance of qualifying. And judging from the rest of the sides in the zone Costa Rica, Panama and 1 of Jamaica or Honduras would walk it.

I heard there will be 48 teams so 3 host countries should qualify automatically

USA and Mexico should qualify anyway, so just let America-Lite have the automatic spot :D

3 teams auto qualify now, under 48 team WC they get 6 places but all 3 auto qualifying is ridiculous for me. What happens if, Moldova, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Latvia, Belarus and Estonia all put in a joint bid? Are we going to have all 6 auto qualifying?? There should be a 3 team playoff with top 2 auto qualifying and bottom side joining qualifiers.
